I don't know about you, but the stress of the last few years has made a lot of people feel lethargic, exhausted, depleted - and the list goes on and on.  

There are lots of things you can do to help get your energy back, such as: 
  • Get restful sleep - 8 hours every night.
  • Eat real food - not convenience food in a box - lots of fruits and vegetables.
  • Exercise regularly - moderate exercise is better than extreme workouts, which cause cortisol levels to rise, creating more inflammation in the body.
  • Get lots of antioxidants in your diet to combat free radicals (which, again, cause inflammation in the body).

    Most of us struggle with at least one or two of these areas, especially in our fast-paced society that runs all-out all the time!

Yes, adrenal exhaustion is becoming so common that just about everyone could use some "adrenal love."  The last few years have been nothing short of devastating when it comes to stress in our everyday worlds!  It used to be that people with very high-stress jobs were about the only ones to worry about adrenal exhaustion.  Then came the days of moms working AND raising a family - as if just raising a family isn't enough!  Then came the craziness of the last few years - lockdowns and "cooties" floating around - people losing their livelihood - isolation - and the list goes on and on.  

The adrenals are tiny endocrine glands on top of the kidneys that when stressed, they excrete cortisol. Cortisol affects several aspects of your body and mainly helps regulate your body's response to stress.  Adrenal glands produce hormones that help regulate your metabolism, immune system, blood pressure, response to stress and other essential functions.  So, as you can imagine, it's very important to take care of these things!

That's why I'm starting a "Love Your Adrenals" Challenge, using one supplement and two essential oils that are known to help you maintain good adrenal health - or as I like to say - "Love on your adrenals"!   We'll start on September 14th and go for two weeks using these two oils and supplement twice a day.  I believe, after that two weeks you will notice a difference and will want to continue indefinitely - but that's totally up to you!  I even have a private vault you can join where we will have a discussion room where you can ask questions and share your experiences.  AND, I'll have some prizes to give out to those who participate in the discussion room by checking in daily (this will also help you stay consistent, because the results come with consistency)!

Are you a Fall Scented Candle Junkie?
Fall is coming, and one of the biggest fall traditions is spicy smelling candles that remind us of the fall weather and the coming holiday season.  

Well, hold off on those candles until you’ve considered this: 
  
 A 2015 study by university-affiliated researchers in South Korea found that scented candles can release VOCs (volatile organic compounds) both BEFORE they are lit and while they are burning.  That’s right – even an unlit candle releases VOCs into the air you breathe! In the study, they concluded that scented candles “should act as potent sources of VOC emission in indoor environments.”
 
So what’s the problem with VOCs?  They can cause:
 
  • Headaches
  • Irritation to eyes, nose & throat
  • Nausea
  • Liver damaga
  • Kidney damage
  • Central Nervous System damage
Some VOCs have been labeled as carcinogens.  Do you really want to risk it?  

In addition to being a health hazard, the soot from candles can damage appliances, ductwork, the walls and furniture of your home – not to mention your body!
