Collagen is all the rage these days, and with good reason!
Did you know that collagen is the most abundant protein in your body? It’s a major component of connective tissues in your body, including skin, tendons, ligaments and muscles!

Did you know that collagen helps provide your skin with structure and it strengthens your bones?
There are several foods you can eat to increase your collagen intake, including pork skin (no thanks) and bone broth.
In recent years, collagen supplements have become popular. As is always the case, just because someone made a supplement, doesn't mean it's a good one! I have a trusted source of CLEAN supplements with collagen and collagen-producing ingredients that I can attest from personal experience are actually very effective! There’s a lot of people consuming collagen these days and that’s a good thing; but it's important to know the source of your collagen products.
I choose to not only use lots of organic bone broth in my cooking and soup making; I also combine collagen supplements that have more than one purpose.

For example: Agilease & BLM (stands for Bone, Ligament, Muscle) are staples in my supplement routine, as they both have Type II collagen (which is the type that helps to build connective tissues, cartilage and bones). It’s made up of chains of amino acids like arginine, glutamine, glycine and proline! And for even more bang for your buck, Agilease also has Hyaluronic Acid, which keeps the skin supple and looking very well hydrated. Both Agilease and BLM are fantastic for joint mobility!
Another amazing supplement I take every single day is Sulfurzyme! Sulfurzyme is made up of MSM and wolfberry. Research the benefits of MSM, which are many; but here’s the kicker: MSM is necessary for good collagen production, which will help tighten saggy skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and it works together with Vitamin C to normalize collagen production. Sulfurzyme is also THE supplement of choice for beautiful, healthy hair & nails – I mean, seriously, it’s astonishing the difference when you take it daily!
That brings us to Super C, another supplement I take every day. Vitamin C is an antioxidant which fights oxidative damage from free radicals in the body. It’s also an essential cofactor in the production of collagen! That means your body can’t make collagen without adequate Vitamin C!
So, if you’re pumping Collagen into your body and you are not getting enough Vitamin C, there’s a good chance your body isn’t going to actually produce its own collagen, which is what we really want; right?
