They both are good for you, but they address different things.
Type 1 Collagen is the major matrix protein of the skin. It is also found in tendons, bones, artery walls, & intestines.
Type 2 collagen, most from bovine sources, is the type of collagen found in cartilage.
Type 1 collagen has a smaller molecular weight which yields better bioavailability, which means it can be better absorbed into the body.
Type 2 collagen is a good option for joint health; but the molecular weight is larger and not as effective for skin, hair & nail health.
