Yoga for Stress - Anybody Can Do This!
According to a recent article from the Mayo Clinic: "Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation or relaxation. Yoga may help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and lower your heart rate. And almost anyone can do it."

I have to admit that I don't practice yoga on a regular basis, although, I know I should.  Maybe this would be a good year to incorporate a regular practice into my crazy schedule.  Taking care of myself, especially in these uncertain times, is becoming more important to me than ever.  I hope it is for you, too!  We are solely responsible for the daily choices we make for our own well-being, and it's time to own up to it!  (I'm talking to myself as much as to anyone else who resonates with this message).  Seriously, even if all you did was learn how to add some "yoga breathing" into your day, you could have a huge impact on your stress levels!  Add some genuine, unadulterated essential oils to that breathing, and magic happens! 

The potential health benefits of yoga include:

  • Stress reduction. A number of studies have shown that yoga may help reduce stress and anxiety and enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being. It also might help you manage moods and that anxious feeling that you get when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Improved fitness. Practicing yoga may lead to better balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength.
  • Help chronic conditions. Yoga has been shown to help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure, as well as help manage low back pain, neck pain and menopause symptoms. Many have reported improvement with symptoms of things like: pain, asthma, arthritis and insomnia (and more). 
Maybe it's time for me to give some consideration to a more regular and meaningful practice of yoga!  Incorporating genuine, unadulterated essential oils with a yoga practice offers an even more beneficial experience.
