Understanding the deeper systems that influence energy, metabolism, and long-term health

broken ankleI recently had a bit of a challenge thrown my way with two fractured ankles, in addition to one of them also badly sprained! As challenging as this situation might be, it has given me an opportunity to dive deeper into the world of natural wellness, particularly with essential oils from Young Living and supportive nutritional supplements. I wanted to share with you my journey and how I’ve utilized these natural remedies to aid in my recovery.  I have not had to take any pain medications or over-the-counter pain relief (such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen) as I have been able to manage the pain with these plant-based options.

Essential Oils for Bone Health and Discomfort

Wintergreen essential oil has been a cornerstone in supporting my bone health. Wintergreen is known for its high methyl salicylate content, which has been used traditionally for its pain-relieving properties.

Frankincense, Idaho Grand Fir, and Copaiba
For managing discomfort, I’ve turned to a powerful trio: Frankincense, Idaho Grand Fir, and Copaiba. Each of these oils has unique properties that can potentially reduce discomfort and inflammation. Frankincense, for example, has been shown in various studies to possess anti-inflammatory properties. Idaho Grand Fir and Copaiba also contain components that interact positively with our body’s natural pain and inflammation pathways.

Lemongrass, Frankincense, and Wintergreen
When it comes to supporting tendons and ligaments, Lemongrass, Frankincense, and Wintergreen are my go-to essential oils. Lemongrass, in particular, is noted for its ability to support a healthy inflammatory response, making it crucial in managing sprains and strains. Lemongrass contains compounds like citral, which have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, helping reduce swelling and promote healing of ligaments and tendons. Research Essential Oils & Pain

Frankincense also contributes to reducing inflammation and promoting tissue regeneration, making it excellent for recovery from injuries like sprains
Studies have shown that frankincense has the ability to block certain enzymes that cause inflammation, such as COX-2, which helps in pain management and healing.  Frankincense Therapeutic Properties

Wintergreen, with its high methyl salicylate content, is often compared to aspirin for its pain-relieving effects, making it useful for managing discomfort from sprained ligaments. It is also known for reducing joint stiffness and muscle pain.

Helichrysum for Healing:
Helichrysum essential oil is highly regarded for its regenerative, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, making it a powerful option for treating injuries like a broken or sprained ankle. This oil is known to accelerate the healing of soft tissue, reduce bruising, and relieve pain, which can be beneficial for both bone fractures and ligament injuries. It promotes cellular regeneration, which helps in the repair of damaged tissues, and its anti-inflammatory effects can reduce swelling around the injury site, allowing for faster recovery. Additionally, helichrysum has been shown to improve blood flow and reduce muscle soreness, further supporting recovery from sprains.  Research has demonstrated that helichrysum has significant anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, reducing nitric oxide production and offering cytoprotective benefits.  Anti-inflammatory Oils

Nutritional Support for Optimal Recovery

Beyond essential oils, I’ve leaned into Young Living’s nutritional supplements to ensure my body gets the support it needs for optimal recovery.

BLM, Sulfurzyme & AgilEase
BLM (Bone, Ligament, and Muscle) and Sulfurzyme have provided fantastic support for my joints and overall tissue health. They contain ingredients that promote recovery and help maintain structural integrity.  Agilease is specifically tailored to support joint health, this supplement supports healthy cartilage, flexibility and mobility, and the body's natural response to inflammation after exercise. It boasts frankincense gum resin extract, undenatured type II collagen, and a blend of essential oils that include Wintergreen, Copaiba, Clove, and Northern Lights Black Spruce to help support cartilage and joint functions – because every joint deserves to feel like a superstar.

NingXia Red, Phyto Nutrition, Alkalime, and AminoWise
Additionally, NingXia Red, Phyto Nutrition, Alkalime, and AminoWise have ensured that I stay nutritionally fortified as I heal. They provide a rich blend of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to support overall wellness and encourage an environment where healing can thrive.

Embarking on this natural path has given me not only physical relief but also a peace of mind, knowing I’m supporting my body holistically. If you’re facing a similar challenge or just looking for natural ways to support your overall wellness, I highly recommend giving these essential oils and supplements a try.  Stay tuned for more updates on my journey ~ specifically the challenges and solutions I've used for dealing with the emotions of a significant disruption in my ability to move about and enjoy day-to-day living.

Thank you so much for this information! I fractured the tip of my right fibula in two places several months ago. I searched oil-testimonials, old PineHill Group files, and the EO Desk Reference. I didn't have everything you listed immediately on hand and it took a while before I could even get to the computer to search or pull out the Desk Reference. Eventually, I used many of the items you listed and can definitely say I know I healed well with Young Living oils and supplements. They are amazing!
Jacque, I can't imagine both ankles broken! And, did this happen recently or you are well on your way to a full healing?
Additionally, are you okay with the remnants of Hurricane Helene? Please post something when you're able.

My Story

For decades, I lived and worked in a high-stress environment as a court reporter, balancing demanding 80-hour workweeks while raising my son as a single mother.

From the outside, I was strong and capable. But internally, the chronic pressure was quietly reshaping my body in ways I didn’t yet understand.

Over time, the effects of prolonged stress began to surface—fatigue, imbalance, and eventually an autoimmune diagnosis that forced me to pause and reconsider everything I thought I knew about health.

What I discovered changed the trajectory of my life.

I began to understand that the body is not fragile or broken. It is adaptive, intelligent, and constantly responding to its environment. Symptoms were not random failures. They were signals—evidence of deeper systems working hard to protect and preserve balance under prolonged strain.

This realization shifted my focus completely.

Instead of chasing symptoms or forcing solutions, I began studying the underlying systems that influence energy, metabolism, brain function, hormones, and long-term vitality. As I supported those systems using natural, sustainable approaches, my body began to restore balance in ways I had not thought possible.

That experience became the foundation of my work.

For more than two decades, I have helped others understand their bodies through this same systems-based lens—helping them move from frustration and confusion to clarity and confidence in their wellness journey.

My work is not about quick fixes or temporary solutions. It is about helping you understand what your body has been communicating, so you can support it in restoring balance naturally and sustainably.

When you understand the deeper patterns, everything begins to make more sense.

And from that place of understanding, true healing becomes possible.
