Your starting point: load
Your home may be talking to you.
“I feel worse in certain places, or after certain products, smells, or routines.” If that sounds familiar, your body may be asking for this first.
Free and printable · One simple week · No purchase required
Why start here
Small exposures add up.

Your first domino
The 7-Day One Swap Experiment
Choose one product or routine you use every day and remove it for a week. No shopping list, no purchase. Just one change, and your own observations.
Choose One Exposure
The one you use most or suspect most: a plug-in, scented candle, dryer sheets, or a spray cleaner.
Remove it For 7 Days
Unplug it or go fragrance-free. Set it aside rather than tossing it, so you can compare.
Notice How You Feel at Home
Headaches, stuffiness, sleep, mood, and how clear your head feels.
Each day
What to notice this week
- ☐Headaches or a stuffy nose, especially at home
- ☐How clear your head feels in the morning
- ☐Sleep, and how rested you wake up
- ☐How you feel in places with stronger scents
You’re looking for patterns, not perfection.

Make it work for you
This experiment removes something rather than adding something, and simpler is the point. Live with others? Choose a swap that’s yours to make, like your own perfume, or one the household agrees on. Pregnant or nursing? If you try a new product, read the label and follow its use guidance. If you have trouble breathing or a strong reaction to any product, stop using it and talk with your healthcare provider.

Help Me Connect the Dots
